Orem Summer Fest June 13th

Orem Summer Fest has also become a tradition for our family. It usually falls on Doug's mothers birthday (this year it was the day before). Becky and Garth and their family had come up from Phoenix for the week so Mya was excited to spend some time with them.
Doug's parents do live too far from the Parade route so we walked. Some nice man who had saved a spot probably a couple days before the parade said we looked like we needed somewhere to sit and gave us the space where he had put down a tarp.
It was fun to watch the twins and their reaction to the parade. Preston got excited at all the "manly" things, he loved the police when they came by on their motor cycles and the fire trucks. Alexa would clap when she saw the pretty girls on the floats and the cheer leaders. They both liked the bands.
It threatened to rain and as soon as the wind started to pick up we were out of there. We got pretty close to Doug's parents home before it really started to rain hard. Mya's clothes had been soaked through from another run through the rain earlier that day when at the carnival.
Luckily the rain stopped and the fireworks ended the night.
